IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE:
(Installation guide is at the bottom of this page)

-Works best on RAW images, rather than JPEGS.

-You can tone down (or up) the intensity of the preset with the “amount” slider located in the left panel above the presets.

-You might have to adjust the exposure, contrast and highlights to your taste in each preset. Every photo is different. Different light, different cameras and different settings will all change the appearance of how each preset effects each photo.  You can adjust anything in these presets using the settings on the right in the Develop module.

-Most of these presets work best when paired with the colours they're meant for in your images:  Example, “Green” presets tend to work best with images that already contain greens, “Golden Warmth” presets tend to work best with images that already contain golden light, etc.  However, it’s worth trying them all out; I’m often surprised at how well some presets work with images I didn’t imagine they would!

-When you’re testing out the presets, be careful not to accidentally layer them on top of one another (unless it’s on purpose, of course).  You can see what they will look like on your photo simply by hovering your mouse over each preset. But if you click on each preset without reverting back to the original photo in between, the presets will just layer on top of one another and the photo might start to look overdone very fast. Although, some photos look good with a few presets layered on top of each other - so please do experiment!

MEANT TO INSPIRE:

Please remember,
these presets are not designed to finish your photo – rather, they’re designed to be a starting point, to help point you in the direction you want to go with your editing process.  If you’re like me, you’re going to have a hard time just slapping on a preset and saying “It’s perfect! All finished!” (…although if that’s the case for some photos, then YAY).

When you find yourself resonating with the colours and light of a particular preset on your photo, that’s when the real fun begins.  And don’t worry if there’s certain aspects of the preset that you don’t like - you can adjust anything

For my personal workflow, after I find a preset to use as my starting point, I like to spend some time playing around with the exposure, contrast, highlights, shadows, colour mixers, colour grading, and calibration (these are all areas I have already adjusted for the presets, but you can continue adjusting them to your personal preference for each photo).

…After that, I like to move into the masking panel for even more fun.  You’ll notice most of these presets already have a couple of radial gradient masks applied: One to darken and slightly cool the outside of the photo, and one to brighten (and usually slightly warm) the center of the photo.  I find this creates a subtle vignette that really draws my eyes into the photo.  On some photos, this “vignette” might appear too strong.  But you can adjust these radial gradients in any way, including their size, shape and placement on your photo, as well as the gradient exposure and colours.

Make sure you watch my tutorial “How to Take Editing Even Further” (included in the preset pack download email) to see how I use even more radial gradients and other masking tools, particularly brushes and colour ranges, to bring out each photo to its best potential!  These are extra tools that I always end up using, but I have not included them in the presets because I find each image needs to be adjusted individually when it comes to brushing and colour range masks.

P.S.  If you’re posting photos on Instagram after using the presets, I’d LOVE to see them! Please feel free to include the hashtag #elizabethgaddpresets in your posts so I can easily see what you’ve been creating with them! 😊
